About the Seminar

Your Clients' Bodies Already Know How to Release

You’ve probably seen it on the treatment table — a spontaneous tremor, a wave of shaking that arrives unbidden and leaves the client feeling lighter. That response isn’t random. It’s an innate recovery mechanism, shared across mammals, that helps the nervous system discharge tension and return to balance after stress.

This four-day professional training introduces manual therapists and bodyworkers to the neurophysiological foundations and practical applications of neurogenic tremoring. Drawing on the pioneering work of Dr. David Berceli, founder of Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®), the seminar presents a structured, evidence-informed approach for integrating tremor facilitation into manual therapy practice.

The Science & Practice

You’ll explore the science through the lenses of autonomic nervous system regulation, polyvagal theory, biotensegrity, and trauma-informed care — including the role of the psoas muscle and fascial lines in stress physiology, and how to track nervous system states using the Window of Tolerance. Most importantly, you’ll gain embodied experience: first through your own tremoring process, then by facilitating others safely on the treatment table through daily demonstrations and supervised partner work.

What You’ll Leave With

By the end of the course, you’ll have the theoretical understanding, perceptual skills, and hands-on methods to introduce neurogenic tremoring into your existing therapeutic modalities in a safe, ethical, and effective way.

A Collaboration with the Founder of TRE®

The curriculum is the culmination of a multi-year collaboration between Alex Greene and TRE® founder David Berceli — born from a shared vision to bridge the gap between neurogenic tremoring and clinical bodywork.

Who It's For

Who This Is For

Manual therapists, massage therapists, physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, craniosacral therapists, structural integration practitioners, medical doctors with a holistic approach, and other touch-based professionals.

Outcomes

What You’ll Be Able to Do

Explain

the neurobiological and evolutionary mechanisms underlying neurogenic tremoring and its relevance to manual therapy.

Facilitate

and support neurogenic tremors safely on the treatment table as part of a therapeutic session.

Assess

client readiness and capacity, recognizing signs of regulation and dysregulation within the Window of Tolerance.

Integrate

tremoring fluidly into manual therapy treatment flows, adapting to client goals and the overall treatment plan.

Coach

clients to continue tremoring independently for ongoing self-regulation and nervous system balance.

Alex Greene

LMT, TRE® Certification Trainer

Alex Greene is a somatic therapist, educator, and international trainer specializing in the integration of neurogenic tremoring within body-oriented therapies. He is co-founder of Neurogenic Integration, an educational platform dedicated to advancing the understanding and practice of neurogenic tremoring worldwide.

Alex originally trained as a Structural Integration practitioner and has more than twenty years of experience helping clients and students cultivate self-regulation and embodied awareness. His professional training includes Myofascial Release, Visceral Manipulation, Zero Balancing, Somatic Experiencing®, Internal Family Systems, the Safe and Sound Protocol, Brainspotting, and the Feldenkrais Method®. He teaches internationally across Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa — from physicians in China and bodyworkers in Japan to psychotherapists in Kenya and firefighters at FDNY in New York — and has presented for organizations such as the Upledger Institute of Romania.

Alex is known for a grounded, experiential teaching style that bridges neuroscience, manual therapy, and trauma-informed practice — empowering practitioners to bring neurogenic tremoring directly into their hands-on work.

Ágnes Katona

Physiotherapist, Manual Therapist, TRE® Provider

Ágnes is the founder of BalancedYOU Therapy & Learning Hub. Building on her clinical foundation from Budapest’s Semmelweis University, she began her career as a physiotherapist, using manual therapy as a more powerful holistic approach. Over time, her practice evolved beyond physical therapy tools, leading her to dedicate her career to exploring the connection between the body, the mind, and the nervous system.

Ágnes works from an integrative perspective, helping clients and peers understand that our automatic body responses to stress and trauma are not random — they are neurobiological reactions, and we always have agency over our internal processes. She is deeply committed to supporting physiotherapists, manual therapists, and bodyworkers in evolving their practice, and is the host of the very first Neurogenic Tremoring for Manual Therapists and Bodyworkers seminar in Budapest.
